Provide harm reduction, prevention and education resource, and supportive services that focus on individual and community health and wellness to anyone living with, affected by, or at risk of HIV, Hep C, or related health issues.
Provides community and individual education, client support, outreach services, harm reduction services (including safer sex supplies, safer smoking/injection supplies, fentanyl-strip testing, STI testing, sharps disposal, Naloxone kits and training), menstrual products, and some nutritional support. Also provides programming, resources, and support specifically for GBQT2MSM (the Men's Health Initiative).

Harm Reduction Pick Up: Provides a variety of harm reduction materials for both safer sex and substance use. Monday to Friday 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Drug Checking Services: Provides Drug Checking Services every Tuesday to Friday, from 2PM – 5PM. For sample drop-off outside of these hours, please call ahead or send us an email. Results can be shared over the phone, email, or in person. This service is anonymous, confidential and free of charge.

Education: provides a series of free workshops to businesses, organizations, communities, and individuals around Kelowna. The HRE Program provides workshops and educational sessions to individuals, service providers, community organizations, and businesses.

These workshops cover topics that align with the values and goals of LPRC, such as: harm reduction, sexual health, and inclusivity. Available workshops topic includes but isn’t limited to HIV 101, Hep C 101, Sexual Wellbeing, Inclusive Language & Queer Literacy, Drug Overdose Response & Naloxone Training, and other workshops as requested. The workshops can be provided either over Zoom or in person. These are public sessions that anyone can choose to attend. Businesses and organizations can also request for LPRC to come into their space and provide these workshops.

Health and Wellness Program: Provides clients with individualized services and support to address needs related to health, housing, and income. The Health and Wellness Worker conducts an initial intake to assess each individual’s unique needs and works with the client to develop a work plan to meet those needs. Work plans are a collaborative effort, and it is expected that clients actively participate in their individual work plans.

Men’s Health Initiative (MHI): The goal is to increase supportive, community-based networks for guys-who-like-guys within Interior BC while raising attention to their health care needs and concerns. This includes but is not limited to: bisexual, cis, curious, gay, male, non-binary, queer, questioning, straight, trans, two-spirit, and all other guys-who-like-guys.
