Abuse / Neglect, Mental Health - Adult & Senior, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Victim Services
Provided by South Okanagan Women in Need Services (SOWINS)
- The Intake, Outreach, and Advocacy Program: Provides confidential support services from a trauma-informed and client-centered perspective to women experiencing or who have experienced gender-based violence and are seeking to access the Stopping the Violence Women’s Counselling Program.
- Children and Youth Counselling Program: Called the PEACE program, a short-term psycho-educational program for children and youth ages 5-18 who have witnessed/experienced emotional, mental and/or physical abuse in their home. Support is also provided to the non-offending parent/caregiver.
