Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) - Castlegar

Provides team based care for non-emergency health concerns to individuals in Castlegar and surrounding areas.
The Castlegar Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) provides team-based care for urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries that need attention within 12-24 hours. Depending on the nature of your injury or illness, you may be seen by a physician, nurse practitioner ,registered nurse, a physiotherapist, or a social worker.

Call for an appointment for non-life-threatening illness or injuries such as:
  • Minor pain including sore throats, wound checks and dressings, and suture removal.
  • Assessment and short-term treatment for joint pain and injuries that limit movements.
  • Minor fevers, infections and upset stomach.
  • Sexual health information and testing.
  • Short-term mental health including anxiety and mild to moderate depression.

    Castlegar UPCC is available to anyone in the Kootenay Boundary region.
