Seniors Support and Advocacy Services - Ladysmith

Provided by Ladysmith Resources Centre Association (LRCA)

Provides community services and information in order to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being of seniors in Ladysmith and area.
The Seniors’ Office provides seniors with information and assistance in accessing existing programs and services, while also creating opportunities for seniors to identify, plan, and implement new programs or services as needed. The program advocates for changes that improve the health and lifestyle of seniors in Ladysmith and surrounding areas, collaborates with other agencies to identify unmet needs or gaps in services, and works to prevent duplication of resources.

The Seniors’ Office also supports seniors in addressing a wide range of problems, concerns, and issues that may affect their well-being. By offering guidance and assistance, the program helps reduce anxiety, prevent poor physical and mental health outcomes, and lower the risk of hospitalization.

The Seniors' Office serves people 55 years of age and older (except for issues regarding Provincial Social Assistance, E.I.). The office offers confidential one-on-one meetings, either in person or by telephone, to help resolve any issues that the senior may have.
