A downtown resource centre for youth ages 13-18 living in Prince George.

At Youth Around Prince drop-in, they help youth find shelter and work on their resumes so that they can find employment, host workshops to teach different life skills, provide snacks and cooking classes. Front-line services such as showers, laundry, a kitchen, phone, mailing address, photocopier, fax machine, and computer access free of charge. Many agencies within Youth Around Prince offer different programs and opportunities such as pre-employment training, youth-led forum theatre, one-on-one and group counseling, and more.

Youth can access YAP by:

Drop in - Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm
Play arcade and board games, use some art supplies, grab a coffee or snack, use the laptop or access internet, use the phone, do some laundry, take a shower, or get some essentials like clothing/outerwear/hygiene supplies in our donation room. Connect with Access and Peer Support staff, or just hang out with friends.
Have a meal - Community Kitchen Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm
Youth are invited to come learn some hands on life skills by engaging in cooking (if they'd like) and enjoy a delicious hot meal.
Get active with YAP - Activity group at the drop-in Thursdays from 4pm-6pm
Arts and crafts, minute to win it games, movie nights, video games and more! This group is based out of the YAP drop-in and requires a quick pre registration sign-up.
Go out and about - Outing group on Friday evenings, time dependant on event planned
Swimming, boxing, hockey games, bowling, wrestling matches, guided ghost walks, escape rooms and more! Youth meet up with YAP staff in the PG community to enjoy a weekly outing. This group requires a quick pre registration sign-up.

Careworkers may attend drop-ins, events, and outings alongside youth requiring additional support. Equitable access will be facilitated whenever possible.
