Applications are accepted for youth in the Interior Health region ages 12 to 18. Prior to coming to the treatment centre, the youth is required to be free from substance for 7-10 days. Assistance can be given to achieve this portion of recovery.
Anyone can apply - the youth, guardians/parents, doctors, psychiatrists, counsellors, etc. The youth who is to participate in treatment must give consent to the application . Forced treatment is not an option. Please access the Youth Application Form. As there are limited beds, intake is not guaranteed. If a bed is available and the application is accepted, further connections and arrangements will be made.
Cost: Treatment for youth is funded entirely by Interior Health Authority. There is no cost for the client beyond individual needs and comfort items. Treatment and Stabilization for adults is a per diem rate of $70.00 which comes to $2,940 for 42 days. If finances are a barrier to treatment, contact the New Tomorrow Intake Coordinator on (250) 318-3009.
