Foundry - Prince George

Provided by Foundry

Foundry Prince George supports young people aged 12-24 and their caregivers with easy access to free health care and social services.
Foundry represents: community agencies, government, donors, youth and young adults, and families coming together to improve the wellness of BC’s young people. Foundry centres believe young people should have a voice in their own care and that finding the right support shouldn’t be difficult. Foundry offers mental health and substance use services, physical and sexual health care, youth and family peer support, and social services in welcoming, youth-friendly spaces. Our network of centres—led by a network of different back-bone agencies and co-created with and for young people—can be found in multiple BC communities (including Terrace and Williams Lake), with many more in development (including Burns Lake, Vanderhoof, Fort St John, and Quesnel) https://foundrybc.ca/.

Access to services begins with the young person attending the centre and completing on-boarding paperwork so a chart can be created. Providers are encouraged to talk to the service user about Foundry Prince George as a voluntary service, that has the capacity to provide wrap-around care that is youth-led, non-judgemental, and grounded in two-eyed Seeing.
