Provided by Irene Spelliscy Psychology

A private facility that offers a wide range of psychological assessment and diagnostic services for children and youth.
Provides psychoeducational assessments for learning disabilities as well as emotional/behavioural disorders, PTSD, and ADHD assessments to children and youth in the Kelowna and Interior regions. The selection of assessment services for children and teens include:
  • Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Assessments will use targeted testing to aid in diagnosing ADHD specifically.
  • Socio-Emotional Assessments will assist in diagnosing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression and other mood disorders.
  • Psychoeducational Assessments (also referred to as educational assessments or psychoed. assessments) will help to diagnose learning disabilities or challenges, giftedness, ADHD, and emotional/behavioural disorders.

Most psycho-educational assessments of children and youth are for the purpose of diagnosing a suspected learning disability or behavioural issue impacting learning. Once testing is completed, the family will be asked to sit down and review the report with the psychologist so that they understand the observations, findings and diagnosis. A written report is provided to the parents as well as suggested interventions and accommodations for both in school and in home.

If you would like to begin the assessment process of an assessment, please fill out the form here. No formal referral from clinicians or physicians are required, self referral is accepted, however, referral forms can be provided upon request.

Cost is generally $2250 for full psychoeducational assessment including emotional behavioural screeners as well as ADHD and/or learning disabilities.
