Provides low-cost dental surgery (oral surgery), including procedures such as tooth extractions.
Dr. Allan offers consultations and dental care for both children and adults in a specialized hospital environment. A referral from a medical or dental expert is essential to schedule a visit with us.

  • Children are covered under the BC Healthy Kids Program as long as their coverage under MSP supplementary benefits is active and continuously in effect. Children may be covered, up to and including, the month they turn 19. Any changes with your family’s MSP supplementary benefits coverage may affect your child’s coverage.

  • First Nation patients are accommodated through FNHA dental insurance, which offers comprehensive coverage for dental fillings, and Jordan's Principle, ensuring accessible dental care for eligible individuals.

  • Low-income adults seeking fillings can benefit from the practitioner's acceptance of BC Employment and Assistance Dental Supplements linked to income/disability assistance. Any remaining costs are not passed on to patients, particularly those receiving disability assistance.

    The eligibility criteria for treatment in the operating room are as follows:
  • Restorative treatments and surgeries for children 12 years of age or under that require extensive rehabilitation and who could not be managed otherwise without a GA or whose treatment may last more than one hour. Please note that children under four years of age must weigh over 15kg.
  • Exams, x-rays, preventative services as well as basic restorative treatments and surgeries for patients with severe mental or physical disabilities that preclude treatment under local anesthetic; or with a demonstrated contra-indication to local anesthetic
  • MSP Insured dental services, including extractions and biopsies, that are significantly complex or invasive in nature, such that it requires general anesthesia. Typically, this involves extractions in multiple quadrants, including impactions and complex teeth.
  • Note: Unfortunately, root canal therapy is not currently being offered.
