Securit - A Career Training Program

A career training program geared for individuals who are interested in an entry level job in security.
The SecureIt Program provides participants with the essential skills needed to work in the security industry. The program is designed to teach the nine essential skills as defined by Service Canada and viewed from the employer’s point of view, as well as more focused training for employment in the security industry.

The program runs for 12 weeks, and by the end participants should be prepared to work in an entry level position in a variety of jobs in the security industry including working in BC Corrections, private business and organization security, airport security, and more.

This program is fully funded by the government and includes two weeks of hands on work experience.

To be eligible, individuals must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons legally entitled to work in Canada, reside in British Columbia, and not be full-time students.
