Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) - Kamloops North Shore

Provided by Interior Health

Patients who require medical attention within 12 - 24 hours but are not emergent.
The North Shore Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) provides team-based care for non-emergency health concerns to individuals within the North Shore and surrounding communities who require same-day attention.

If you do not have a family doctor/nurse practitioner, or you are unable to get an appointment with your care provider that day, you can visit the UPCC. A health-care team is available, virtually or in-person to provide care for your health issues.

Care is available for concerns such as:
  • Minor injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Infections
  • High fever
  • Less serious child illness and injury
  • Cuts, wounds or skin conditions

If you need to access health-care services at the UPCC, please note that:
  • The North Shore UPCC opens 7:30 AM and walk-in patients will be prioritized by urgency.
  • All patients are triaged by a registered nurse upon arrival to the UPCC and referred to the most appropriate health-care provider. Not all patients will receive care from a physician/nurse practitioner.
