Perinatal Mental Health Supports

Provides peer support, education and resource referrals to families and individuals affected by perinatal mental health conditions.
The PSI services are aimed at addressing Perinatal Mental Health conditions and include:
  • Peer Support Groups: Offers compassionate peer support for pregnancy loss, infant loss, fertility challenges, and parenting after loss. All groups are 100% free forever, 90 minutes and held via Zoom. Registration required.
  • Chat with an Expert: Free, live phone sessions for moms and dads. During these sessions, individuals can connect with other moms/dads and talk with a PSI expert about resources, symptoms, options, and general information about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders from the privacy of their own phone. These are not one-on-one sessions. There is no need to pre-register or provide a name. These sessions are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals.
  • Peer Mentor Program: This program pairs individuals in need of support with a trained volunteer who has also experienced and fully recovered from a Perinatal Mood Disorder (PMD). Establishing a one-to-one connection with someone who has journeyed through a PMD offers invaluable insight, encouragement, and hope. Join as a peer or as a mentor.
  • Postpartum Planning: A 2-hour class for expectant parents in any stage of pregnancy, whether it’s 1st, 2nd, or 3rd trimester. All expectant parents are welcome. The class focuses on the parents’ mental health and emotional well-being during the postpartum period and helps to establish a plan.
  • Support Navigators: PSI Volunteers help to connect individuals to local providers who are trained to treat perinatal mental health conditions.
