Kamloops Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT Clinic) - Interior Chemical Dependency Office - Addictions Treatment

Provided by Interior Chemical Dependency Office (ICDO)

Privately-run addiction clinic which provides an outpatient, multidisciplinary, and supportive addiction treatment program for adults and youth who misuse any substances of abuse.
Provides comprehensive addiction medicine services, including individual addictions counselling, Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART) Recovery meetings, and telehealth services for rural communities. Offers assessment, treatment, and ongoing support for Opioid Use Disorder, Alcohol Use Disorder, and Stimulant Use Disorder.

Provides Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) options including Suboxone, Methadone, Sublocade, and Kadian. Offers evidence-based treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder, including medication-assisted approaches and The Sinclair Method. Assessment and treatment options for stimulant use disorder are also available.

Provides harm reduction education and referrals to health care, addiction services, and other community supports. Safer sex supplies, including condoms, are available. Free Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) are provided to opioid users and can be used to reverse opioid overdoses involving substances such as fentanyl, heroin, morphine, methadone, and oxycodone.

Monthly clinic fees apply and include counselling services. The standard monthly fee is $100. A reduced rate of $60 is available for patients without coverage through programs such as the Ministry or FNHA. A further discounted rate of $45 may be offered to seniors (60+), youth under 20, and families with multiple members enrolled in the program (e.g., parent/child or partners). Fees may also be subsidized for eligible clients, including those receiving disability or income assistance.
