Eating Disorder Program - Child and Youth - Kamloops and Thompson-Nicola/Cariboo
Child Services, Family / Parenting, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Youth Services
Provided by Ministry of Children and Family Development
Provides treatment and support for children, youth up to 18 with an eating disorder and their families. The team consists of a psychiatrist, pediatrician, dietitian, and two counsellors who provide mental health services to children and youth with eating disorders including assessment and treatment.
Treatment modalities may include:
- Group, individual and family counselling
- EFFT
- Psychoeducation
- Workshops
- Medical assessment, and follow-up.
The clinic does not work with clients with binge eating disorder or compulsive overeating.
